SUNGAI PETANI, 19 APRIL 2019 – Media Prima Berhad (“Media Prima” or “the Group”), Malaysia’s largest integrated media conglomerate, will be featuring its array of digital platforms and content at the nation’s foremost unit trust exhibition, the Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia 2019 (MSAM 2019).
Organised by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), this year’s exhibition, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, will be held from 19 – 25 April 2019 at Amanjaya Mall, Sungai Petani, Kedah.
Showcasing its extensive reach and influence within the mass Malay audience, this will be the Group’s second participation in MSAM since 2017. In line with the exhibition’s objective to enhance financial literacy amongst Malaysians, Media Prima will be represented by four of its main platforms – Print, Television, Radio and Digital – each catering to a distinct target audience within the Malaysian population.
Representing its print division will be The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad (NSTP) and its new Education and Lifestyle verticals, as well as the group’s three main titles (NST, BH & HM) presented in the digital format.
NSTP’s Education Vertical (EV) will appeal to primary and secondary students with its FullAMark education portal, designed for candidates sitting for UPSR, PT3 and SPM; as well as MindCampus, an app for those pursuing tertiary education in Malaysia. NSTP’s Lifestyle Vertical meanwhile, will be featuring Hijab&Heels, a lifestyle portal for women, providing the latest lifestyle trends, fashion and beauty tips.
Media Prima Television Networks (MPTN) meanwhile, will be featuring two of its most popular platforms – the home shopping network CJ Wow Shop, online video portal tonton as well as entertainment and lifestyle portal xtra. The Group’s television arm will also be introducing Cantix, a new e-commerce site that sells products by local artists and celebrities.
Combining the power of digital media and broadcast, the Group’s radio platform, now known as Ripple, will be showcasing its new range of seven digital brands, including Dhia, Donna, Lunaria, Thelaki, Likely, Chapters and Wakeke. Ripple will also feature Malaysia’s latest voucher-based e-commerce platform Superdeals, to complement its positioning as an audience-focused digital media, broadcast and commerce company.
Not to be left out is Media Prima Digital (MPD), which will be promoting two of its most popular mobile games, Ejen Ali: Emergency and Mak Cun’s Adventure. The Group’s digital arm will also be featuring some of its most immersive portals and apps, including MyGameOn, SirapLimau, OhBulan, Raudhah as well as Waktu Solat.
“Various fun-filled activities have been lined up for visitors at our booth in MSAM 2019. There will be various games, celebrity appearances, lucky draws and lots of prizes to be won for everyone. For the ladies, we will also be conducting several tutorials on make-up, hijab styling and fashion, so don’t miss this opportunity and come visit Media Prima’s booth at Amanjaya Mall, Sungai Petani this whole week,” said Azlan Abdul Aziz, Group General Manager, Group Corporate Communications Department, Media Prima Berhad.
